Bottle Drive Success!

Hey everyone, it's been a while. The COVID pandemic threw a curveball into our plans over the last couple years, but needless to say, our team and this blog are back in business, and we couldn't be happier. We will be updating this blog every week to keep everyone caught up on our events and progress in our season over the coming.

This weekend, we held a bottle drive to raise funds to support our team for the upcoming competition season, and raised over 700 dollars! We would like to thank the community for coming to our buildspace to donate their bottles despite the rain. We would also like to give a huge shoutout to Sharon and her team at The Beer Store, who worked tirelessly to make sure all the bottles were there and accounted for. To keep tuned to other upcoming fundraiser events or to simply hear what Team 781 is up to, you can read our weekly column on the Kincardine Record or continue reading our blogposts here.

In other news, weave finally completed our tool safety training for our new members, and have chosen to attend the Georgian College Competition in Barrie. We also look forward to having Greg and Lana in our buildspace this weekend to give our team valuable training in AutoCAD and fundraising respectively.

Thanks to everyone on their support, and we will update you again soon.

Sincerely,

Carter Frook, Blog Writer
